It’s Friday, Kansas City, and I was going to be a hawt girl; however, it is currently pouring down rain. So, let me grab Loki’s rainboots and walk him before it gets too bad. If you’re weathering the storm tonight, be safe, and remember, don’t do anything I would do.
Before you clock out. Head over to our giveaway page, and win some tickets on us.
JUST ANNOUNCED
On May 27th at Uptown Theater, Rilo Kiley is stepping back into the spotlight with the kind of indie nostalgia that hits straight in the chest. Soft, sharp, and a little bittersweet—these are the songs you forgot you knew every word to.
Think that’s all? On May 1st, Decades! is taking over GrindersKC and spinning you straight through the best eras. From throwback bangers to dance floor classics, it’s a full night of “wait, I LOVE this song” energy.
Going down July 12th at The Midland Theatre, Derek Hough brings Symphony Of Dance: Encore. This is where ballroom meets full-blown production.
Then, on August 16th at T-Mobile Center, Megan Moroney pulls up with The Cloud 9 Tour. It’s country with a soft edge, heartbreak, healing, and sing-it-loud moments all wrapped into one dreamy night.
On October 13th at The Bottleneck, Osees crashes in with a set that’s loud, gritty, and just a little chaotic. Expect psych rock, garage energy, and a crowd that fully commits.
BIRTHDAY FREEBIES IN THE CITY
Hot take: your birthday doesn’t need to cost you a thing. KC is out here handing out free drinks, desserts, and little birthday perks—you just have to flash your ID and act like the main character (as you should). Time to plan your birthday freebie crawl.

This week’s Local’s List is personal. I have the greatest pleasure of introducing Tiffany Watts. We met at an event and have been inseparable ever since. She’s not only a friend to me, but also someone who has created so many experiences you’ve likely already loved, and there’s so much more to come.
