Today is Juneteenth, a day to celebrate freedom, honor Black history, and recognize the impact Black communities have had on Kansas City, from the historic roots of the 18th & Vine District to the artists, entrepreneurs, organizers, and neighbors shaping our city today.
Whether you're spending the day at a community event, supporting a Black-owned business, learning something new, or simply taking a moment to reflect, there are countless ways to celebrate, connect, and show up for one another.
And because music has always been at the center of culture, joy, and community, here's one event you'll definitely want on your radar. We're sending one lucky winner and their guest to see TLC & Salt-N-Pepa with En Vogue. An entire evening of singing every word at the top of your lungs. Go ahead and enter now, KC. This one's iconic.

Black culture doesn't stop after Juneteenth, and neither does this list. From festivals and concerts to community gatherings, comedy shows, and celebrations of Black joy, these events bring people together across Kansas City.
