Y’all, Pride Month is coming up, and we are SO excited. Alsooo, I just launched a new event series for the BIPOC sapphics, and yes… it’s called queerAokee aka Q&A. Honestly, it didn’t even start as an event. I was just outside doing random things again.

Either way, catch all the chaos, karaoke, community, and cute people here.

And yes besties, we’ve got a fresh giveaway for you too. We’re sending one lucky winner to see Margaret Cho on the Choligarchy Tour on June 13th at Folly Theater. Catch the vibes, laugh until your stomach hurts, and get your tickets for the FREEEE.

JUST ANNOUNCED

  • Three genres, in one room. DJ Diamond Diva takes over The Laila Lounge on May 31st for a listening session built for music lovers. Her DJ set will blend gospel, Broadway, and our favorite R&B. Grab tickets now.

  • Pilates, patio drinks, and pretending we suddenly have our lives together for the summer. Pilates on the Patio hits Tin Roof Kansas City on June 6th, and you don’t want to miss the great drinks and even better stretches.

  • Parcels bring their effortlessly cool live show to The Midland Theatre on October 6th, and honestly, this one feels destined for blurry concert videos and outfit compliments from strangers.

  • Disney Channel nostalgia is about to hit like a truck. The Worlds Collide Concert Tour crashes into T-Mobile Center on October 17th, bringing together the worlds of Descendants, ZOMBIES, and Camp Rock for one giant sing-your-heart-out moment. Tickets will be flyin.

  • Stewart Copeland brings Have I Said Too Much to The Granada on November 7th for a night packed with music history, behind-the-scenes chaos, and the kind of storytelling you won’t forget.

LOCALS ONLY

  • Following your favorite artists on Do816 means we'll tell you when they’re playing in KC. No algorithm roulette. No "Wait, they were just here??" meltdowns. Just pure, show-not-missed, bragging-rights energy. Follow now, regret nothing later.

  • Did y’all know the KC Streetcar officially runs all the way to the riverfront now? Which means it’ll drop you just steps away from CPKC Stadium, home of the Kansas City Current. We went to the game over the weekend, and those lines were long, good thing I drove, but honestly? Love that we’ve got more options now for getting down there.
