Kansas City, lately I’ve been thinking… the best Kansas City recs don’t come from guides. They come from you.

Through our Do816 Insiders program, you can share your go-to spots, routines, hidden gems, and random hyper-specific recs, and we might feature you in an upcoming Locals List. Got a few places you swear by? Yeah… we want it.

Fill out the form, don’t overthink it, and definitely don’t play it safe. Coming soon to a newsletter near you. In the meantime, run over to our giveaway page, you know what to do.

JUST ANNOUNCED

  • Relatable chaos, teacher humor, and “we’ve all been there” moments, The Bored Teachers’ Is It Friday Yet comedy tour stops at Topeka Performing Arts Center. Get tickets to see them on April 10th for a night of stand-up that turns classroom struggles into full-on comedy gold.

  • Earl Sweatshirt & MIKE, with Surf Gang, take over The Truman on June 18th for a night that’s introspective, experimental, and effortlessly cool.

  • Feel-good country with big hooks and even bigger singalong moments. The Band Perry brings their anthemic energy to KC Live! on August 20th. Grab tix.

  • A choir, but make it chaotic (in the best way). Pub Choir hits The Madrid on May 17th, turning the crowd into the performance with hilarious, feel-good, no-pressure group singing.

  • Charlie Puth and Daniel Seavey take the stage at Starlight Theatre on May 13th for a night of chart-topping hits and late-night drive energy.
